Sarawak-born designer Dickson Lim celebrated the milestone after one of his designs was worn by celebrity stylist Ty Hunter during the high-profile event.
Hunter, best known as longtime stylist and creative director to global superstar Beyoncé, appeared at the Met Gala alongside the singer, further amplifying visibility for Lim’s work.
Lim later shared his excitement on social media, stating that he was proud to be recognised as the first Malaysian menswear designer to be represented at the Met Gala stage.
