A tragic road accident along Jalan Ampang Pecah-Rasa early Monday morning claimed the lives of two males after a motorcycle collided with a car.
The victims who died in the crash were a 28-year-old motorcyclist and his 14-year-old pillion rider.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said authorities received an emergency call regarding the incident at around 12.14am.
Following the distress call, a team from the Bukit Sentosa Fire and Rescue Station was immediately dispatched to the scene.
According to Ahmad Mukhlis, the crash involved a Proton Waja and a motorcycle, with three individuals caught up in the incident.
“The victims involved were two males and one female,” he said in a statement on Monday.
Both male victims riding the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
Meanwhile, the 51-year-old female driver of the Proton Waja suffered injuries in the collision.
Firefighters were forced to carry out rescue operations to extricate the woman after she became trapped inside the vehicle following the impact.
The operation involved six firefighters and a fire engine from the Bukit Sentosa Fire and Rescue Station.
