BERSAMA To Announce Johor Candidates Next Friday, Says Rafizi Ramli

Date:

Parti Bersama Malaysia (BERSAMA), led by Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, is set to announce its candidates for the upcoming Johor state election next Friday.

Rafizi said the candidate screening process has been completed, with the official announcement scheduled to take place in Johor Bahru at 9pm.

He said the party is confident the selected candidates will be of higher quality compared to established political parties.

“We have completed the screening process for the Johor election,” he said.

“I am grateful because I believe the candidates we will announce next week are better in quality than parties that have been around for decades. Everyone will be surprised,” he added.

Rafizi also urged the public to tune in to the live announcement, saying the event would be broadcast at 9pm from Johor Bahru.

He revealed that BERSAMA had received more than 300 applications within a week to contest in both Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections.

According to him, all applicants underwent a strict selection process, including personal information screening and multiple interviews.

He described the selection process as highly selective, with questions during interviews varying based on the applicants’ personal background.

Rafizi added that most of the applicants were ordinary citizens rather than career politicians, including professionals from various fields.

He said the party was surprised by the response, noting that even in Kelantan alone, around 12 individuals had come forward to apply as candidates.
