SUV Crash on Pan Borneo Highway: Two Women Dead, Man Fighting for Life

A tragic accident claimed two lives yesterday when an SUV skidded off the road and crashed near Rumah Panjang Melayu Ulu along the Pan Borneo Highway in Betong. A man traveling with them was critically injured.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received a distress call at 5.58pm and immediately dispatched a team from the Betong station. Upon arrival, rescuers discovered three people trapped inside the vehicle—two women and one man.

By 7.15pm, all victims were successfully extricated. However, health officials confirmed that both women had died at the scene, while the man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities noted that none of the victims carried identification documents, and their identities are still being determined.
