A motorcyclist was killed after her bike skidded and crashed into a metal road divider at KM8 of Jalan Bau-Lundu yesterday evening.
Bau District police chief Supt Mohd Haide A Rahman said the accident occurred at 7.13pm as the victim was riding from Kampung Tembawang Sauh towards Bau. She reportedly lost control of her motorcycle and collided with the divider along the Pan Borneo Highway.
Medical personnel from Bau Hospital confirmed the victim’s death at the scene.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Police have urged anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
