Parked Cars Smashed As Tree Falls Unexpectedly Overnight

Two vehicles were damaged after being struck by a fallen tree in an incident at Taman Sejati late last night.

According to the Kedah Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), an emergency call regarding the incident was received at 12.35am.

A team from the Tikam Batu Fire and Rescue Station, led by Senior Fire Officer I Sezali Hassan, was immediately dispatched to the location.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a large tree had fallen onto a Proton X50 and a Honda Civic parked in the area.

No casualties were reported in the incident.

Rescue personnel carried out cutting and removal work using two chainsaws, assisted by the Sungai Petani Volunteer Fire Brigade.

The operation was fully completed at 1.09am after the area was declared safe.
