Chinese adult lifestyle brand Chunshuitang has unveiled a new range of AI-powered humanoid companion robots designed for emotional interaction, with prices starting from 15,800 yuan (approximately RM9,300), significantly lower than many high-end custom-built AI robots currently on the market.
The new companion robots are now available for pre-order through JD.com and Tmall, with deliveries scheduled to begin on 1 August. The launch marks the company’s latest push into the growing consumer AI companion market.

Available in three height options—160cm, 165cm and 170cm—the robots are priced from 15,800 yuan (RM9,300), 16,300 yuan (RM9,600) and 16,800 yuan (RM9,900) respectively.
Unlike premium AI humanoid robots that can cost well over 100,000 yuan, Chunshuitang’s latest models are aimed at making AI companionship more affordable for everyday consumers.
The company said the robots are equipped with features including simulated body warmth, facial expressions, memory functions, visual recognition, voice conversations and emotional responses. They are designed to recognise users, initiate conversations and remember previous interactions to provide a more personalised companionship experience.
To enhance realism, the robots feature 16 degrees of freedom concentrated around the head and face, allowing them to smile, make eye contact, turn their heads naturally and synchronise facial expressions with speech. The company said the upgraded design reduces the stiff and unnatural appearance often associated with humanoid robots.
The robots also incorporate five touch sensors in key areas, enabling them to respond differently based on where, how long and how frequently they are touched, creating more lifelike physical interactions.
Powered by a multimodal AI large language model, the robots combine visual input, voice recognition, touch feedback, posture detection, time awareness and stored memories to understand different situations and engage users more naturally through proactive conversations.
On the hardware side, the robots are equipped with an RK3576 processor, 8GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, providing sufficient computing power for local AI processing without relying heavily on cloud services.
Chunshuitang also said privacy was a key consideration in the product’s design. According to the company, camera footage, conversations and touch interaction data are processed locally on the device, with visual data remaining offline and personal memories not being uploaded to cloud servers, helping to safeguard users’ privacy.
