A Russian attack targeting Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, on Friday left 10 people injured, including a child, while damaging residential infrastructure.
According to a statement by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, rescue personnel transported five injured victims, including the child, to hospital for medical treatment.
The strikes sparked fires at several targeted buildings and caused a large crater to appear on a road in the affected area.
Firefighters were immediately deployed to the scene to contain and extinguish the blazes, while rescue teams carried out assessments to determine the extent of structural damage across the impacted neighbourhood.
Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation as emergency operations remain ongoing.
