A man was found dead with multiple stab wounds by the roadside in a residential area in Bandar Mahkota Cheras on Monday morning.
Kajang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said police received a report on the discovery at about 8.40am.
A team of officers was dispatched to the scene, where they found the body of a man believed to be in his 30s. The victim was not carrying any identification documents, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary examinations conducted with the police forensic team found injuries believed to have been caused by a sharp weapon.
A post-mortem conducted at Hospital Kajang later confirmed that the victim died from severe abdominal bleeding caused by stab wounds.
Police are conducting a comprehensive investigation to establish the victim’s identity, trace witnesses and identify individuals believed to be connected to the case.
