Woman Found Dead In Klang River With Face Severely Decomposed And Skin Peeling Off

Date:

The body of an Indonesian woman was found floating in the Klang River near a factory in USJ 1, Subang Jaya, on Tuesday.

Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said police received a report from a member of the public at about 12.58pm regarding the discovery.

Initial investigations at the scene found that the victim’s face had been severely decomposed, while the skin on her hands and feet had peeled off. She was fully clothed, wearing a yellow jacket and light-coloured jeans.

Police also recovered a crossbody bag containing an Indonesian electronic identity card (e-KTP) and a photograph believed to belong to the victim. Checks confirmed that she was an Indonesian national.

The body has been sent to the Forensic Unit at Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Wan Azlan said the case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR) after preliminary examinations found no signs of foul play.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or who may have a missing family member to contact the USJ 8 Police Station at 03-7862 7222 to assist in the investigation.
