Zahid Predicts BN’s ‘Blue Wave’ Momentum May Extend Beyond Johor, Negeri Sembilan

Date:

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has suggested that the “blue wave” following Barisan Nasional’s (BN) strong performance in the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections could extend further to Putrajaya.

Ahmad Zahid, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister, made the remarks during his ministry’s monthly assembly here today.

He said BN’s recent electoral gains could mark the beginning of wider political momentum for the coalition.

“Politics is a different matter, but God willing, the blue wave will come,” he said while speaking at the event.

Ahmad Zahid added that the momentum could continue from Johor to Negeri Sembilan and eventually reach Putrajaya.

“The blue wave will continue. From Johor to Negeri Sembilan, and God willing, arrive here,” he said.

He also mentioned other states including Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah, while expressing confidence that the momentum would reach Perlis.

His remarks came after BN achieved victories in the recent Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections, which the coalition viewed as a positive sign ahead of future political contests.
