Body Wrapped In Net: Father Breaks Down In Court As Four Men Face Murder Charge Over Son’s Death

Date:

The father of businessman Low Kai Xian, 39, who was believed to have been murdered before his body was wrapped in netting and dumped into a river, broke down in court during proceedings involving four men accused of killing his son.

The man, in his 60s, arrived at the Magistrates’ Court on Monday accompanied by family members. He appeared visibly distressed and was seen shedding tears after the charges were read against the four accused.

Lawyer Chuah Shyue Chien, who is representing the victim’s family as an observing counsel, said Low’s father was still grieving over the tragedy.

“He is saddened and cried. The family is leaving it entirely to the court to decide on those accused of killing his son,” Chuah said when met outside the court.

Earlier, four men were charged at the Magistrates’ Court in connection with the businessman’s death earlier this month.

The accused are Yogesvaran Subramaniam, 40; Lim Yong Ming, 26; Achuthan Nagarajan, 32; and How Han Wei, 33.

No pleas were recorded as the case falls under the jurisdiction of the High Court. October 10 has been fixed for mention of the case.
