Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced higher federal allocations for Sabah and Sarawak under Budget 2027, with Sabah set to receive RM18.7 billion and Sarawak RM16.2 billion.


Sabah’s allocation will increase from RM17.6 billion in 2026 to RM18.7 billion in 2027, marking an increase of RM1.1 billion.
Sarawak will also receive an additional RM1.1 billion, with its federal allocation rising from RM15.1 billion in 2026 to RM16.2 billion in 2027.
Combined, the allocations for both states will amount to RM34.9 billion under Budget 2027, compared with RM32.7 billion in the previous year.
The increased funding was outlined as part of the government’s Budget 2027 measures for Sabah and Sarawak.
