Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced an increase in the minimum pension from RM1,000 to RM1,350 per month under Budget 2027.
The increase is expected to benefit nearly 59,000 pensioners, including Armed Forces veterans and recipients of derivative pensions.
The higher minimum pension aims to provide additional financial support to retirees and eligible beneficiaries amid rising living costs.
The measure forms part of the government’s broader Budget 2027 initiatives to strengthen financial assistance for pensioners and veterans.
