Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped serious injury after a group of armed men opened fire on the vehicle he was travelling in in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday.

According to The Hindu, the incident occurred at around 7pm, leaving Shroff’s driver and another auto-rickshaw driver injured.
Police have arrested one suspect to assist with investigations into the shooting, which has renewed concerns over celebrity security and a resurgence of gang-related violence in India’s entertainment industry.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg said the incident occurred as Shroff was leaving the location after completing work.
However, Garg declined to comment on a social media post by a gang claiming responsibility for the attack.
Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis reportedly contacted Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti, directing authorities to conduct an immediate investigation and take strict action against those involved.
Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also contacted Shroff to assure him that the authorities would take firm action over the incident.
Speaking to The Hindu, Shinde condemned the shooting and stressed that the government would not tolerate criminal groups attempting to intimidate members of the film industry.
The incident also drew criticism from opposition leaders, who questioned whether criminals in Maharashtra still feared the consequences of the law.
Film director Ashoke Pandit expressed concern over growing insecurity among industry professionals following the shooting at actor Shetty’s bungalow and the latest attack.
