Viral ‘Pocong’ Sighting Near Penang Factory Leaves Netizens Spooked

Date:

A video showing a mysterious white figure allegedly resembling a pocong jumping around near a factory in Bertam, Kepala Batas, Penang, has gone viral on social media, leaving viewers spooked.

The footage appears to show the white figure repeatedly jumping in the distance, while several men believed to be recording the incident can be heard reacting in the background.

“Eh, that’s a pocong! That’s terrifying. Can you see it?” one of the men can be heard saying in the video.

The figure appeared to be some distance away from the group, with the person recording seemingly using the zoom function on his phone camera to capture it.

The video was also shared by Threads user Ferussaad, who jokingly remarked that the alleged supernatural figure seemed unusually energetic as it continued jumping.

“The incident happened yesterday in the factory area beside Bertam Eco Residence. It’s really active, isn’t it?” he wrote in the caption.

The footage drew various reactions from social media users, with some expressing fear while others responded with jokes about the alleged sighting.

“Has this pocong eaten too much sugar? It’s ridiculously hyperactive,” Threads user Mr.L3kir commented.

“Factories are their favourite places,” Aiman.amnddn wrote.

Another user, Afyhntsy, claimed to have seen a similar figure in person and said it had jumped even higher, allegedly moving from one electricity pole to another.

However, the identity and nature of the figure shown in the viral footage remain unverified.
