A total of eight people have died and 11 others were injured after a pickup truck veered off the road at a sharp curve in Huai Yen, Ban Na Lae, Village 8, Sila Laeng Subdistrict, Pua District, Nan Province, Thailand, on April 18, 2026.
The accident occurred at approximately 5.55pm when the vehicle reportedly lost control and left the roadway. Initial reports indicated five fatalities at the scene, while multiple passengers were left injured.
Police from Pua Police Station, along with rescue teams from Somdej Phra Yuparat Pua Hospital and local administrative units, rushed to the site to provide emergency assistance. Injured victims were immediately transported to hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Authorities later confirmed that three of the injured victims succumbed to their injuries, bringing the total death toll to eight.
In total, 14 people were affected in the crash, with 11 survivors sustaining varying degrees of injuries. Medical teams continue to monitor their conditions.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, with further details expected to be released as inquiries continue.
