Affairs in marriage can happen for many reasons, but a recent social media confession has shocked Malaysians after a man revealed he was having a sexual relationship with someone no one could have predicted — his own father-in-law.
The anonymous confession, originally posted on the Kisah Rumah Tangga Facebook page and later shared widely on Reddit, came from a married man whose wife had just given birth and was in confinement at her parents’ home.
According to the man, his father-in-law had asked him to help clean a house that was being prepared for new tenants. After finishing the chores, the man removed his shirt because of the heat — which allegedly led to an unexpected encounter.
“He complimented me, saying I looked sexy. Then he came close, touched my body, and started groping me… that’s how it all happened,” the man wrote.
He claimed he initially resisted but eventually gave in due to “five months of pent-up desire.” The affair reportedly continued three times in total.
Reflecting on it, the man admitted he felt both ashamed and strangely satisfied. “I asked him if this kind of relationship is normal. He told me not to feel guilty and claimed it was normal,” he said, adding that his father-in-law was now asking for another “session.”
The man expressed fear of being labeled part of the LGBTQ community and pleaded for advice on how to stop the situation.
Unsurprisingly, the post sparked a wave of disgust and disbelief online. Netizens reacted with shock and ridicule, with one user commenting: “What a terrible day to be literate.” Another added: “Bro had the audacity to ask whether the relationship was normal or not.”
Still, some questioned the authenticity of the confession, suggesting it may have been fabricated just to stir controversy online.
