JPJ Officer Praised For Staying Calm During Viral Confrontation

Date:

A viral video showing a heated exchange between a motorist and a Road Transport Department Malaysia enforcement officer has sparked widespread discussion online, with many netizens praising the officer’s professionalism and patience.

In the circulating footage, the man recording the video appeared visibly upset and repeatedly pressured the officer over a traffic offence issue.

The motorist allegedly became angry after the enforcement officer refused to “settle” the matter privately and instead proceeded according to standard procedures.

During the confrontation, the man could be heard loudly demanding the officer issue him a summons immediately.

“I already handed you my IC, hurry up and issue the fine!” he shouted repeatedly while continuing to provoke the officer.

The man also claimed the situation could have been handled “like friends” and threatened to make the video go viral online.

Despite the aggressive behaviour and constant pressure, the enforcement officer remained calm throughout the incident, responding with a smile and attempting to advise the man professionally.

The officer reportedly refused to compromise or engage emotionally during the tense exchange.

The video quickly attracted attention across social media platforms, where many Malaysians applauded the officer for maintaining composure under pressure.

At the same time, many users criticised the motorist’s behaviour, saying that regardless of dissatisfaction, enforcement officers still deserved basic respect.

One comment that drew attention online jokingly read: “You kept shouting ‘saman’ (summons), but the officer’s name isn’t Saman.”
