The incident involved a Chinese female passenger who reportedly became emotionally distressed during the flight, sparking a verbal dispute that quickly drew the attention of other travellers, some of whom were later jokingly referred to as “onlookers” by netizens.
Amid the escalating situation, the Malaysian cabin crew member stepped in to mediate between the two passengers. His composed manner, steady tone, and calm facial expression stood out, with many praising his professional and unflustered response during the incident.
Social media users were quick to applaud his behaviour, describing his intervention as well-timed and effective. Some even nicknamed him the “Let me handle” guy, while others called him the “master of emotional control” for his ability to remain composed under pressure.
The flight attendant has since been identified as Safiq Jismaa, who is not only part of the cabin crew but also active in advertising and digital content creation.
He gained further recognition after participating in Man of Malaysia 2025, where he reportedly won both the Best Influencer Award and Best Content Creator Award, highlighting his growing influence both in and outside the aviation industry.
Safiq also has a presence on TikTok, where he has amassed more than 50,000 followers. He is known for sharing behind-the-scenes content about cabin crew life and has previously helped another flight attendant gain viral attention online.
In earlier content, he was seen collaborating with a Korean cabin crew member who later became popular online, with Safiq himself contributing to the rise in the fellow crew member’s visibility.
