Man Calmly Scrolls Phone With Machete Lodged In Head After Brutal Attack

Date:

A shocking incident in Mumbai left onlookers stunned after a man was seen calmly scrolling through his phone while waiting for treatment with a machete embedded in his head.

The victim, identified only as Isma, was rushed to hospital early Saturday morning following a violent attack involving a “koita”, a large hooked blade commonly used for cutting coconuts and clearing vegetation.

Witnesses at the hospital were left horrified after footage showed the young man remaining conscious and alert despite the weapon protruding from the side of his skull.

Medical scans later revealed that the blade had penetrated nearly 1.5 inches into his brain.

A team of neurosurgeons led by Dr Batuk Diora carried out an emergency operation to remove the weapon.

Doctors successfully extracted the blade during surgery, and hospital officials later confirmed the procedure was successful.

The victim is currently recovering in a trauma intensive care unit and is reported to be in stable condition.

The “koita” weapon is widely recognised in parts of India and has also gained notoriety due to violent gangs operating in Maharashtra state.

Police are continuing investigations and are searching for those responsible for the attack.
