A bizarre incident unfolded at an AMC theater in Surprise, Arizona, during a screening of the Japanese animated film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village Arc Part 1: Upper Rank Akaza Strikes Again, which recently set a North American opening weekend record for an animated movie with $70 million in revenue.
According to Arizona Family, 33-year-old Limil Hull reportedly stood up during the film, allegedly unable to control himself, and urinated in the theater. Shockingly, the urine sprayed onto a child seated nearby. Hull then casually returned to his seat as if nothing had happened.
The child’s father reportedly reacted in anger, physically assaulting Hull in the middle of the theater. The incident occurred during a tense fight scene in the movie, making the chaos on-screen and in the audience eerily simultaneous.
Police later arrested Hull on charges including indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, and refusing to provide his real name. AMC temporarily halted the screening, offered refunds, and allowed patrons to finish the film in another theater.
The incident went viral online, with social media users jokingly referencing the incident as “Breath of Urine” techniques, drawing parallels with the film’s fight sequences. Taiwanese and Chinese netizens shared and reacted to videos of the bizarre scene, with many expressing a mix of disbelief and humor.
