According to witnesses at the scene, the individual began shouting and weeping uncontrollably, reportedly declaring his intention to divorce his spouse and threatening to take his own life. The emotional outburst quickly escalated into physical self-harm as the man became increasingly agitated within the clinical setting.
Viral video footage captured on Saturday shows the man running towards a hospital wall and intentionally striking his head against the solid surface. Despite the immediate intervention of hospital staff who attempted to restrain and calm him, the individual continued his erratic behaviour before eventually collapsing onto the floor. While down, he remained in a state of extreme emotional distress, continuing to scream as medical personnel rushed to provide assistance.
In response to the crisis, healthcare workers brought a wheelchair and an oxygen tank to the hallway to stabilise the man and ensure his safety.
