A narcotics police officer is being investigated for allegedly molesting a woman inside a car in Pasir Mas last Wednesday.
The incident is believed to have occurred at about 9pm after the woman contacted the officer to inquire about her husband, who had been detained in connection with a drug-related case.
According to reports, the officer later invited the woman to meet him in the Pasir Mas town area, where the alleged molestation took place inside a vehicle.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat confirmed the incident, saying the officer involved is in his 30s, while the victim is in her 20s.
He added that the woman is the wife of the detainee and that investigations are ongoing.
“The case is being investigated under Section 345 of the Penal Code,” he said.
