A 53-year-old Chinese man on parole, identified as Chong Guan Fu, tragically fell to his death from the 10th floor of a flat in Templer, Seremban, around 10am this morning. The incident occurred at a 14-storey apartment building, where his body was found at the motorcycle parking area below.
Witnesses reported that Chong shouted “Tolong” — Malay for “Help” — just moments before the fall, leaving authorities to investigate whether this was a suicide or a possible homicide.

Chong, nicknamed “Lao Fu Zi,” had recently been released on parole after serving time for nuisance and theft-related offences. He was working at a factory in Senawang following his release.
Lobak assemblyman Chow Sze Yuh, who rushed to the scene after being informed, confirmed that Chong was already unresponsive upon arrival. Chow said a passerby witnessed the fall and heard the victim’s cry for help.
According to Chow, the parole officer (PAROL) in charge of supervising Chong had lost contact with him since last night and had tried searching for him four times with no success. It was only upon visiting Chong’s flat this morning that the tragic discovery was made.
Residents noted that Chong was still barely alive right after the fall, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Police are currently investigating the case and have sent the body to Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Rembau for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
Authorities have yet to confirm if foul play was involved or if this was a case of suicide. Investigations are ongoing.
