Temporary Closure of Pan Borneo Highway’s Miri-Bintulu Stretch This Saturday for Bridge Works

Date:

The Public Works Department (JKR) has announced a temporary road closure along a section of the Pan Borneo Highway’s Miri-Bintulu route this Saturday, August 9, to facilitate bridge installation works.

The closure will take place from 10am to 2pm on both lanes between KM860 and KM870.8, near SK Kelapa Sawit No. 4. During this time, beam launching works for an overhead pedestrian bridge will be carried out as part of the ongoing Pan Borneo Highway project.

“This installation is a key part of our efforts to enhance connectivity and road safety along the Miri-Bintulu corridor,” said JKR in a statement.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes ahead of time and consider alternative roads to avoid congestion and delays.

“Please exercise caution when approaching the construction zone and follow all traffic signs and safety instructions,” JKR added.

Any updates or changes to the closure schedule will be shared through JKR’s official communication platforms.
