A driver of a Singapore-registered vehicle has sparked outrage online after allegedly behaving rudely following a collision at the parking area of Aeon Tebrau shopping mall.
The incident went viral after Threads user @Spaghaterry uploaded several videos expressing frustration over the driver’s attitude during the incident.
Dashcam footage shared online showed a Toyota Corolla, believed to be driven by a Singaporean man, suddenly reversing at speed before crashing into the woman’s vehicle.
According to the woman, the incident began after the Corolla driver abruptly slammed on the brakes, forcing her to brake suddenly as well.
However, she claimed the driver then unexpectedly reversed his car quickly, resulting in the collision.
A second video showed the driver and two passengers stepping out of the vehicle to inspect the damage following the accident.
Despite apologising, the woman alleged that the driver behaved disrespectfully and failed to even look at her while speaking.
“He came into another country early in the morning to shop and then acted rudely. Even when saying sorry, he wouldn’t look at my face,” she claimed in her post.
She also criticised the driver for allegedly brushing off the damage by repeatedly saying, “Nothing ah, nothing ah,” before returning to his car.
“Nothing what? There’s still a scratch,” she added angrily.
The woman confirmed that a police report has since been lodged regarding the incident.
The videos quickly gained traction on social media, with many netizens debating road etiquette and cross-border driving behaviour following the viral incident.
