A 19-year-old woman was seriously injured after falling from the third floor of a building in Pattaya’s Soi Buakhao late on Tuesday night, prompting an emergency response from rescue workers and medical personnel.
Authorities were alerted to the incident at approximately 11.10pm after receiving reports that a woman had fallen from an upper level of a five-storey building, which houses a beer bar on the ground floor.
Rescue teams arrived to find the woman suffering from severe injuries. Emergency medical personnel provided first aid at the scene before rushing her to hospital for urgent treatment.
According to witnesses, the woman had been spending time at the bar earlier in the evening and was reportedly celebrating her birthday before heading upstairs to a room.
Moments later, staff members heard a loud noise and rushed outside, where they discovered the injured woman on the ground.
A staff member claimed the woman had previously spoken about experiencing emotional stress and personal difficulties. While she had occasionally argued with her foreign boyfriend, who reportedly owns the bar, staff believed her distress stemmed from a combination of personal issues rather than any single factor.
The same source also alleged that the woman had previously attempted to jump from the building but was stopped before any harm occurred.
Police are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and gather statements from witnesses as part of their inquiries.
The incident has drawn attention from locals and tourists in the busy entertainment district, with many expressing concern over the young woman’s condition.
Authorities have not released further details as investigations continue.
