Customers and staff at a coffee shop in East Java, Indonesia, were left alarmed after a five-metre python reportedly slithered into the premises.
The incident occurred recently at a coffee shop in Ranggeh village, Gondang Wetan district, according to Indonesian news portal Lambe Turah.
CCTV footage captured the enormous snake slowly making its way from a nearby road towards the coffee shop before reaching the payment counter at around 4.30am local time.
The unexpected appearance of the giant reptile sent shockwaves through the premises, with a worker who discovered the snake quickly contacting the relevant authorities for assistance.
The footage later attracted significant attention online, recording more than 145,000 views and prompting a flood of humorous and frightened reactions from social media users.
One netizen joked that the snake had apparently entered the premises because it “wanted to find some coffee”.
Another social media user shared a personal experience, saying they had once fainted in a toilet after encountering a baby snake.
