A Thai man suffered serious injuries to his genitals after spending about an hour with a woman at a hotel in Prachin Buri on Thursday (August 6), with police now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Rescue personnel were alerted to the hotel after receiving a report about an injured guest. Upon arrival, they found the room door open, with bloodstains leading from the entrance into the room. A broken glass bottle and pieces of glass were also found scattered inside.
The man was discovered lying alone on the bed. Rescue workers initially could not determine the cause of his injuries and questioned him, but he was reportedly confused and unable to provide a clear explanation of what had happened.
Police later arrived at the scene and informed rescuers that the man had sustained a serious injury to his genital area. He was believed to have lost a large amount of blood before being rushed to hospital for medical treatment.
Investigators then reviewed the hotel’s CCTV footage and found that a woman had arrived at the hotel shortly before the man.
The footage showed the woman arriving in a black sedan at around midnight, booking a room and entering the premises. Shortly afterwards, the injured man arrived on a motorcycle and entered the same room.
The woman was later seen leaving the room at about 1.05am before driving away, while the man remained inside. CCTV footage later showed him opening the door and moving around inside the room before the incident was discovered.
Authorities said the exact cause of the injuries remains unknown, as the man has yet to provide investigators with a clear explanation.
Police are now seeking information from the woman seen in the CCTV footage to assist with the investigation. She has yet to contact authorities or provide any statement regarding the incident.
