Boy’s Finger Freed By Firefighters After Getting Stuck In Toy Car For Nearly Three Hours

Date:

A mother has shared her frightening experience after her six-year-old son’s finger became trapped inside a toy car for nearly three hours before firefighters managed to free it safely.

Nurul Farhana Hamzah, 37, said the incident happened while her second child, Muhammad Daniel Dylon Abdul Qayyum, was at his babysitter’s house. She received an urgent call informing her that his finger had become stuck inside the toy and could not be removed despite several attempts.

According to Nurul Farhana, her son is passionate about toy cars and often enjoys trying to repair them himself. Concerned about the situation, she immediately contacted the Fire and Rescue Department for assistance.

She said firefighters advised that the child be brought to the nearest fire station as the situation was not life-threatening and the toy could be transported safely.

Although the family initially considered taking the boy home so his father could try removing the trapped finger, Nurul Farhana decided against it, fearing their efforts could make the injury worse.

“I believed the firefighters had the right equipment and expertise to handle the situation safely,” she said.

After being trapped for around two to three hours, the boy’s finger was finally freed by firefighters. Fortunately, he suffered only minor swelling and escaped without any serious injuries.

Nurul Farhana expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the firefighters, praising them for remaining calm and professional throughout the operation.

Relieved that the incident ended without serious consequences, she urged parents to closely supervise their children while they play, even with toys that appear harmless.

She also advised parents not to forcefully remove a trapped finger if initial attempts fail, warning that doing so could cause more serious injuries. Instead, she encouraged seeking immediate help from firefighters or other professionals equipped to deal with such situations safely.
