A high-rise residential construction site along Jalan Tasik Permaisuri in Bandar Tun Razak has been ordered to cease operations after authorities detected multiple violations during an Integrated Construction Site Operation Series 4/2026 conducted recently.
The operation was jointly carried out by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) together with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Immigration Department (JIM), Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp).
DBKL said a total of eight compound notices were issued for various offences identified at the site, including public nuisance caused by construction waste discharged into drainage systems, unauthorised temporary structures, mosquito breeding sites, and lorries transporting building materials without valid permits.
Authorities confirmed that the site was ordered to shut down until cleanliness and safety standards are fully complied with by the appointed contractor, with enforcement action taken under several laws including the Prevention of Diseases-Bearing Insects Act 1975 and related local authority regulations.
During the same operation, enforcement officers from JIM and PDRM detained eight Bangladeshi construction workers after checks revealed issues with travel documents and work permits.
CIDB also issued two N2/2015 notices to the main contractor, requiring submission of relevant project documentation within 14 days for further review.
Separately, safety inspections uncovered several hazardous conditions, including unsafe electrical wiring, the use of petrol-powered generators, lack of proper fire extinguisher storage, and improper use of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in kitchen areas, prompting immediate concern from JBPM.
DBKL said such integrated enforcement operations will continue periodically across parliamentary constituencies throughout the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
