The victim, identified as Mohd Faizal Muhammad Isa, was discovered by firefighters responding to an emergency call at about 4.30pm.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department’s operations centre, firefighters from the Serian Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene at 4.43pm and used specialised equipment to force open the toilet door.
“After the door was opened, the victim was found lying unconscious inside,” the department said in a statement.
