Missing Man Found Dead After 11-Day Search In Felda Teloi Timur

Date:

A man who was reported missing for 11 days was found dead in a rubber plantation area at Felda Teloi Timur, here, today.

The victim, identified as 58-year-old Asmadi Ibrahim, was discovered near his motorcycle at about 12 noon, bringing an end to the search that had lasted over a week.

His daughter, 23-year-old Nurul Atirah Nadira, who lives in Kuala Lumpur, said she received a call from villagers informing her of the discovery at around 12.30pm.

“I was shocked and deeply saddened, but I have accepted that my father is gone. I never expected to receive news that he had been found like this. I was really looking forward to seeing him again, even if only his remains,” she said when contacted.

Atirah added that she had been deeply worried throughout the 11-day search period and was unable to remain calm while waiting for updates on her father’s whereabouts.

She said several mosques had also held Yasin recitations and special prayers to assist in the search efforts and to ease the family’s burden during the difficult time.

Earlier reports on June 13 stated that Asmadi had been reported missing after failing to return home following a trip to collect grass for his goats on June 10.

Authorities are continuing further investigations into the case.
