A Threads user has claimed they encountered a patient from a government hospital who had allegedly left the facility without authorisation in the capital this Friday morning.
In a post by Threads user @Faiqnajmudin, the individual was allegedly still wearing hospital attire and carrying a plastic bag believed to contain medication.
The user claimed the person, believed to be a foreign national, had visible injuries on the face and was seen wandering around before attempting to enter a security post at an institution, apparently to hide.
“The patient took the hospital clothes and medication, and there were injuries on his face. When I took a photo, he noticed me and started walking around before trying to enter the security post to hide, then came back out. Maybe he was worried about being caught,” the user wrote.
The Threads user also claimed to have contacted the hospital’s main line to report the incident and provide the person’s location.
“Hopefully, he will return to the hospital voluntarily and return the items he took,” the user added.
The post has since attracted various reactions online, including comments questioning the individual’s actions and whether the person had actually been discharged.
One user alleged that some foreign nationals leave government hospitals when asked to pay, while another questioned whether the individual may have already been discharged but criticised the alleged decision to leave with hospital clothing.
The claims have not been independently verified.
