“Thank You For Not Forgetting My Father,” Says Najib’s Son At Court

Date:

Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s eldest son, Datuk Mohamad Nizar, said this while speaking to Najib’s supporters during a live broadcast when he arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex at around 8am today.

He urged supporters to continue praying for his father, adding that the family has not lost hope and will continue to persevere until Najib is released.

Later, he acceded to requests from supporters to take photographs with them at the scene.

The High Court is scheduled to deliver its decision today on former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s judicial review application seeking to serve his sentence under house arrest, with both local and international media assigned to cover the proceedings in the open court and two video-link rooms.

Najib will be escorted by Prison Department officers to the Third High Court (Appeals and Special Powers Division) on the right wing of Level 5 at the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex to hear the ruling.

The case is being heard by High Court judge Justice Lau Yee Ching, who had earlier fixed today at 9am for the delivery of the decision on the judicial review application.
