A Nissan Almera allegedly driven by an intoxicated motorist drew attention from the public after the vehicle was found stranded on a road divider near Q Bistro along Jalan Tun Razak on Tuesday night.
The incident, which reportedly occurred at around 8pm, quickly went viral on social media after several videos surfaced showing the sedan perched on top of the road divider following the crash.
Members of the public gathered at the scene to witness the unusual sight, while traffic flow in the area was reported to have been temporarily disrupted.
As of now, there has been no official statement regarding the exact cause of the incident or whether the driver or any other road users sustained injuries.
One social media user who shared footage of the incident criticised the driver’s actions, claiming the incident had inconvenienced many people.
“Maybe he thought the road divider was a parking lot. Luckily the car ended up on the divider and didn’t hit anyone,” the user wrote.
Another user, identified as Milwoo Adnan, commented: “It’s still early in the evening and there’s already trouble on the road before midnight.”
Authorities have yet to confirm the circumstances surrounding the incident, including allegations that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol.
