Two Express Bus Drivers Arrested After Meth Found Hidden Behind Seat At Gua Musang R&R

Two express bus drivers were arrested after police allegedly discovered 30.36 grams of methamphetamine hidden behind a seat on a bus parked at the Gua Musang Rest and Service Area (R&R) in Kelantan.

The suspects, aged 39 and 46, were detained at about 6pm during a narcotics operation carried out by officers from the Gua Musang District Police Headquarters (IPD) Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division.

Gua Musang police chief Superintendent Sik Choon Foo said police also seized several other items believed to be linked to the case, with the total value of the confiscated items estimated at RM2,500.

Preliminary urine tests found that both suspects tested negative for drugs.

The two men have been detained to assist investigations under Section 39A(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which covers possession of dangerous drugs above the prescribed threshold.
