DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke Siew Fook has confirmed that he will defend the Chennah state seat in the upcoming 16th Negeri Sembilan state election, as preparations intensify ahead of the polls.
Loke, who is also the DAP Negeri Sembilan chairman, said the decision was made with full backing from both the party’s central leadership and state committee, and he will continue leading the party’s campaign machinery.
He said his candidacy reflects a commitment to strengthen DAP’s role in the state while supporting Pakatan Harapan’s wider electoral strategy.
Although the state election has been called earlier than expected, Loke said DAP Negeri Sembilan is fully prepared to face the contest and seek renewed voter support.
He added that the party aims not only to defend its 11 existing seats but also to secure a stronger mandate to help form a stable state government.
