Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has called on Malaysians, especially Malays and Muslims, to continue safeguarding unity and avoid being influenced by issues that could threaten harmony within society.
In his Aidiladha 2026 message, the Sultan of Pahang reminded the public that the celebration symbolises sacrifice, sincerity and the strength of ukhuwah, or brotherhood, among Muslims.
His Royal Highness said the gathering of millions of Muslims during the haj pilgrimage in the Holy Land serves as a powerful reminder that Islam teaches unity, mutual respect and strong bonds of brotherhood regardless of race, status or background.
“The gathering of Muslims from all walks of life proves that Islam calls on its followers to remain united, respect one another and strengthen brotherhood,” he said.
Al-Sultan Abdullah also highlighted a similar message delivered by Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, who recently urged Malays and Muslims in the country to avoid divisions that could weaken the community and create tension among the people.
The Pahang ruler stressed that the true strength of a nation is not measured solely through economic growth or physical development, but also through social stability, unity and respect between races and religions.
He expressed hope that the people of Pahang would continue embracing noble values, strengthening the spirit of consensus and prioritising the common good for the wellbeing and peace of the nation.
The Sultan and Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah also extended Aidiladha greetings to Muslims across the country, particularly those in Pahang.
His Royal Highness additionally prayed for all Malaysian haj pilgrims to be blessed with good health, ease in performing their religious duties and a safe return home with a mabrur haj.
