Technical Glitch Disrupts Fuel Subsidy Quotas For SKDS And SKPS Users

Date:

Technical issues have disrupted the allocation of subsidised fuel quotas for some fleet card holders under the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) and Subsidised Petrol Control System (SKPS), affecting access from May 1 onwards.

The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) said the disruption was caused by integration problems between the Road Transport Department’s MySikap system and the ministry’s MySubsidi platform.

In a statement, the ministry explained that the issue impacted vehicle owners who renewed their road tax, registered new vehicles, or completed ownership transfers between April 1 and April 28.

As a result, some affected users were unable to receive their allocated subsidised fuel quotas as scheduled.

KPDN said it is currently working with relevant agencies to rectify the system and ensure data updates and quota regeneration are carried out as soon as possible.

The ministry added that affected SKDS and SKPS fleet card holders are required to submit review applications through an online form before 5pm tomorrow.

Applicants must provide details including company name, Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) registration number, vehicle registration number, and relevant transaction dates such as road tax renewal or ownership transfer.

KPDN expects the affected fuel quotas to be fully regenerated between May 9 and May 11 once system corrections are completed.

The ministry assured that efforts are underway to minimise disruption and restore smooth access to the subsidised fuel system for all eligible users.
