Brooklyn Beckham has removed Gordon Ramsay from his Instagram following list, just hours after the celebrity chef publicly urged him to repair ties with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
Ramsay, who has long been friends with the Beckham family and previously mentored Brooklyn in cooking, praised the 26-year-old’s “incredible heart” but warned that his determination to “forge his own path” could risk losing sight of his family roots.
Despite Brooklyn’s unfollow, Ramsay continues to follow him on Instagram, suggesting he has not been blocked. A source told MailOnline that Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, “don’t want any criticism at all” and prefer only positive attention.
The Ramsay and Beckham families share a deep friendship, with Gordon reportedly considered as godfather to the Beckhams’ youngest child, Harper Seven, 14. Brooklyn and Ramsay’s son, Jack, 26, also grew up together.
Speaking ahead of his Netflix series Being Gordon Ramsay, the chef emphasised that the Beckham family rift is temporary and predicted reconciliation. “Love is blind. It’s easy to get carried away. But it will come back,” Ramsay said. He encouraged Brooklyn to reflect on his roots, saying, “Remember where you came from… one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that.”
Meanwhile, David and Victoria have quietly attempted to reconnect with Brooklyn. On Valentine’s Day, youngest sibling Harper shared a tribute to her brothers featuring a childhood photo of Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, which Victoria also reshared. However, Brooklyn has yet to publicly respond, and a similar outreach from Cruz days earlier was ignored.
Ramsay remains hopeful that time will heal the rift, insisting, “David will absolutely get that relationship back on track.”
