Infant Remains Discovered Buried In Residential Garden In Melaka

Date:

The skeletal remains of an infant were discovered buried in the front garden of a residential property in Kelemak, Alor Gajah, Melaka, today, sent shockwaves through the local community.

Authorities were alerted to the site following a tip-off, leading to a grim discovery that has prompted an immediate and high-profile investigation by the Royal Malaysia Police. Initial reports suggest that the remains had been concealed beneath the earth for a significant period before being unearthed by investigators.

According to preliminary sources close to the investigation, it is believed that the infant was buried at the location approximately four months ago. There are strong indications that the burial may have been carried out by the infant’s own family members, though the specific circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear. Police are currently working to establish the identity of the child and the exact timeline of events leading up to the clandestine burial.

As of now, no official arrests have been made, but the police are treating the case with the utmost priority given the sensitive nature of the discovery. Further updates are expected once the forensic report is finalised and more details regarding the family’s background come to light.

The authorities have urged the public not to speculate on the case to avoid interfering with the ongoing legal and investigative procedures.
