Earlier, reports stated that a foreign man was found drowned after he was believed to have fallen into the lake at the private university in Subang Jaya.
Assistant Director of Operations for the Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia Selangor division, Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, said emergency responders received a distress call at around 4.48pm before firefighters from the Subang Jaya Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene.
According to him, witnesses informed authorities that the victim was seen jumping into the lake before firefighters later discovered the body caught on a grappling iron at the location.
The incident has sparked discussions online, with many urging the public to avoid speculation while authorities continue investigations into the tragedy.
