Drunk Man Arrested After Allegedly Attacking Two Neighbours With Sharp Weapon

A man believed to have been intoxicated has been arrested after allegedly attacking two of his neighbours with a sharp weapon in Kampung Baru Kundang, Rawang.

Gombak District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ibrahim Husin said preliminary investigations found that the incident took place at about 8.30pm on Saturday when the suspect allegedly stormed into the front area of his neighbour’s house and caused a disturbance.

The suspect is believed to have attacked members of the household with a sharp object, leaving two victims injured. Both were rushed to Hospital Sungai Buloh for further treatment.

Following intelligence gathering and investigations, a team from the Gombak District Police Headquarters (IPD) arrested the suspect at around 12 noon on Wednesday.

Police also seized several items believed to be linked to the incident as part of the investigation. The suspect remains in custody, and an application for a remand order will be made to facilitate further investigations.

The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon and Section 447 of the Penal Code for criminal trespass.
