Budget 2027: Monthly Aid For OKU And Chronically Ill Patients Rises From RM500 To RM600

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced RM1.5 billion in assistance for neglected persons with disabilities (OKU) and neglected patients with chronic illnesses under Budget 2027.

The allocation is expected to benefit more than 300,000 OKU recipients and patients with chronic illnesses who require care and support.

Under the initiative, the monthly assistance rate will increase from RM500 to RM600, providing eligible recipients with an additional RM100 each month.

The increase is aimed at easing the financial burden faced by vulnerable individuals and those requiring ongoing care, while supporting their daily living needs.

The measure forms part of the government’s Budget 2027 assistance initiatives for vulnerable groups.
