32-Year-Old Man Found Drowned In Bandar Sunway Lake, Police Confirm No Foul Play

A 32-year-old man was found drowned in a lake located in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya on Tuesday afternoon.

Subang Jaya district police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said authorities received an emergency MERS 999 call regarding the incident at around 4.44pm.

According to him, the local man was discovered unconscious in the lake before police and firefighters arrived at the scene to provide assistance.

“The victim was found unconscious and his death was later confirmed by a medical assistant from Hospital Sungai Buloh,” he said in a statement today.

Initial investigations found no signs of foul play, with the case currently classified as a sudden death report (SDR).

The victim’s body has since been sent to University Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem examination.

Police are urging members of the public with information related to the incident to contact Bandar Sunway police station chief Inspector Liew Wai Leong at 03-5638 2122 to assist investigations.

The incident has drawn attention online, with many expressing condolences following the tragic discovery.
