A man in Yichang, Hubei, has complained after allegedly finding dog hair in his breakfast while dining at a local eatery where another customer had brought a pet inside.
According to the customer, he noticed the dog being carried by its owner at times and walking under the table during the meal. He claimed dog hair later drifted into his bowl.
The man said he had previously reported the same restaurant in May over customers bringing dogs into the premises.
The restaurant said it could not confirm whether the hair had come from the dog but replaced the customer’s meal. The pet owner later removed the dog from the shop.
The eatery added that a “No Pets” sign is displayed at the entrance and said it would strengthen enforcement to prevent similar incidents in future.
