A man was killed after the car he was driving lost control, crashed into a parked motorcycle by the roadside and hit a tree stump at Jalan Mengabang Lekar, Kuala Nerus, early this morning.

Kuala Terengganu district police chief Assistant Commissioner Azli Mohd Noor said police received information about the accident involving a Proton Saga and a Honda EX5 motorcycle at around 3.55am.

He said initial investigations found that the Proton Saga was travelling from Merang, Setiu, towards Kampung Maras, while the motorcycle was heading from Kuala Terengganu town towards Mengabang Lekar.
