Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim continued his Johor campaign trail on Sunday morning with a breakfast session alongside residents in Simpang Renggam, marking the start of another packed day of election activities across the state.
The Prime Minister arrived at Warung Pak Din in Kampung Sahri at about 8.30am, where he was greeted by hundreds of supporters chanting “Reformasi” as he made his way through the crowd.
He spent around 30 minutes at the roadside eatery, interacting with locals, shaking hands, posing for photographs and having a simple breakfast before departing for his next engagement in Senggarang at 9am.
Also present were Pakatan Harapan candidates for Layang-Layang, Guna Balakrishnan, and Machap, Nur Hafiz Roslan, alongside coalition leaders and party members who accompanied the Prime Minister throughout the visit.
The morning stop forms part of Anwar’s intensive campaign schedule across Johor, which includes visits to eight constituencies in a single day as he seeks to rally support ahead of polling.
His itinerary covers Layang-Layang, Senggarang, Semerah, Bukit Naning, Palong Timur, Pemanis, Gambir and Serom, with programmes ranging from community gatherings to ceramah sessions scheduled from morning until late night.
The day began with the “PMX Santai Sarapan Bersama Masyarakat DUN Layang-Layang” programme before continuing with a series of meet-the-people engagements in several constituencies.
In Semerah, he is expected to join a community feast, before heading to Bukit Naning for the launch of the PH election machinery, and later meeting Felda residents in Palong Timur.
The campaign trail will conclude with ceramah events in Gambir and Serom, rounding off a full day of grassroots engagement.
Yesterday, Anwar also completed a similarly packed schedule, attending seven programmes across Johor as campaigning intensifies in the final stretch before polling day.
Pakatan Harapan is contesting all 56 seats in the Johor election, fielding candidates from PKR, Amanah and DAP, with polling set for July 11 and early voting on Tuesday.
